Copyright Page

You can use a Copyright Page to include legal and publishing information about your book. If your book has an ISBN, you can include it here.

Adding a Copyright

To add a Copyright to your book, select Copyright from the menu in Chapter ▸ Add Element. More details about adding elements can be found in Elements of Your Book.

Copyright Formatting

The Copyright uses its own rules for indentation and paragraph spacing. Paragraphs in the Copyright are never indented, but instead separated by spacing.

A Copyright page won’t receive drop caps or any other styling normally applied to the chapters in your book.

Example of a Copyright page

In your print edition, the text of the Copyright will be aligned to the bottom of the page, as is often seen in traditionally published books.

ISBN

If you have an ISBN for your book, you can include it here, e.g.:

© 2017 Corina Arca. All rights reserved.

ISBN-13: 978-1-5427-5405-7

If you have an ISBN for both your ebook and print editions, you can list both, including descriptions for each ISBN:

© 2017 Corina Arca. All rights reserved.

ISBN-13: 978-1-5427-5405-7 (Paperback edition)
ISBN-13: 978-3-16-148410-0 (Ebook edition)

If you’d prefer to only include the relevant ISBN in each edition, you can do so by creating ebook-specific and print-specific versions of your page:

Ebook-specific and print-specific copyright pages

More details can be found in Edition-Specific Elements.

Created with Vellum

The bottom of the Copyright page can include a small note to share that you’ve created your book with Vellum.

If you’d rather keep that as your secret, you can hide this note using the switch at the bottom of the Text Editor:
